Lourdes Pilgrima 2026 | Second day

Time to Read:

1–2 minutes

The second day of the Lourdes Pilgrimage 2026 was marked by prayer, reflection, and fellowship as pilgrims took part in a moving celebration of the Stations of the Cross.

Pilgrims were divided into groups, making the experience more personal. At each station, a priest offered a thoughtful reflection, inviting everyone to meditate more deeply on Christ’s journey to Calvary. The reflections were accompanied by prayers, allowing pilgrims to walk together in faith and contemplation.

Later in the day, Archbishop Richard Moth celebrated Mass, centred on a simple yet profound question: “Why are you here on this pilgrimage?” It is a question that pilgrims will no doubt continue to reflect upon throughout their time in Lourdes.

There are likely as many answers as there were people gathered for Mass. In his homily, Archbishop Moth encouraged pilgrims not to underestimate the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He reminded everyone to place their trust in her loving care, knowing that she always leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

As the pilgrimage continues, pilgrims are invited to remain open to God’s grace and to the many blessings that Lourdes has to offer through prayer, reflection, and the companionship of fellow pilgrims.
