Below is a statement of the Diocese of Westminster, following the Coroner's report into the death of Fr Alan Griffin:
We express our sorrow and dismay at the death of Fr Alan Griffin. We extend our condolences to his family and friends. This has been a great shock to us all. We are grateful to the work of the Coroner in bringing to light the complex circumstances of this tragic situation and we acknowledge the Coroner's conclusions. We are cooperating fully with the Catholic Standards Safeguarding Agency in its review so that every lesson can be learned from this tragedy.
