Caritas Westminster is growing in communities by developing a series of hubs across the diocese, with a pilot hub starting in Hemel Hempstead to serve the Watford and St Albans Deaneries.
Cardinal Vincent Nichols says, 'The mission of Caritas Westminster is to encourage everyone in the Catholic community to reach out with practical help towards those in need. We are here to serve the good of all, especially the most vulnerable.'
Caritas Westminster have adopted priority areas covering debt, food poverty, social isolation, people with intellectual disabilities and the deaf community, and aim to support existing projects and initiate new ones, build expertise at the parish level, and encourage volunteering.
