Upon receiving news of the death of Archbishop Gregorios, Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, Bishop John Sherrington wrote to clergy and parishes of the diocese informing them of the news and asking them to pray for the repose of the soul of the Archbishop.
He added: 'On behalf of the Cardinal and the diocese, I extend condolences to the community and faithful of the Greek Orthodox Church and all who mourn his passing.
'May he rest in peace and rise in glory.'
Funeral Services for the late Archbishop will take place from 3rd to 5th December.
