On Sunday 23 June, pilgrims travelling with the Diocese of Westminster came together in the Centre for Youth Ministry for their final meeting together before heading out to World Youth Day on the 21 July.

The meeting began with a welcome from Fr David Reilly, the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, and Bishop John Sherrington, who will be accompanying the young people on their pilgrimage. The meeting contained a combination of practical information including the itinerary for the trip and the organisation of hotels and flights.

It also provided an opportunity for pilgrims to pick up their diocesan pilgrimage t-shirts and wristbands. These are traditionally exchanged with other pilgrims from across the world at World Youth Day.

A brief talk was also given by the communications team who will be updating the diocesan blog, http://wym.rcdow.org.uk/world-youth-day/news/, as well as providing photos and tweets of the event.

The day was concluded with Mass celebrated in St Aloyisus parish church, within which the Centre for Youth Ministry is based.
