St Anthony’s School for Girls Announces New Scholarships

Published:

St Anthony’s School for Girls will provide two new scholarships of 20 per cent of annual school fees, for September 2017 entrants to the school.

The scholarships will be awarded on academic merit by the school and will cover the entire education course (until Year 6), providing satisfactory academic performance is maintained. The scholarships are available to pupils entering the school at any age.

The families of scholarship recipients, who are in financial need, will also be able to apply for a bursary of up to an additional 80 per cent of school fees. The bursaries, and the level at which they are provided in any one year, will be decided, awarded and funded by the Gold Standard Charitable Trust. The bursaries are to support academically bright girls who win a scholarship but whose families may need further financial support in order to attend the school.

Parents who wish to be considered should in the first instance advise the school of their intention to apply for one of the scholarships during the process of applying for a place at St Anthony’s School for Girls.

Miss Laura Martin, Headteacher, St Anthony’s School for Girls, says: ‘We are delighted to be making these scholarships available. Our school is deeply focused on nurturing the individual; it is a place where girls enjoy learning and develop a passion for knowledge. We believe that these scholarships will be welcome to parents who wish to access the benefits of the educational environment we provide. We would be delighted to hear from parents to discuss the process of making an application.’
