Spirit in the City is a unique outreach festival, born in 2006, which is now firmly established as an annual Catholic festival in London’s West End, with the support of Cardinal Vincent Nichols. The festival gathers people of all cultures for a joyful and dynamic Catholic celebration of faith in the West End of London.

The 2014 programme takes place in four West End Churches from Wednesday 11th June to Saturday 14th June. The programme will feature Rob Galea, Catholic priest and Christian singer/songwriter from Australia, whose passion is to draw others to the heart of God through music.

The opening concert of the festival will be a unique performance of Spirit-filled Medieval Chants by the French ‘Musique au Boschet Ensemble’ in Notre Dame de France on 11th June at 7:30pm. On 12th June Warwick Street Parish will host the events of Eucharistic adoration, mass, workshops and joyful entertainment. On 13th June the programme is based at St Patrick’s Church, Soho, including adoration, street programme, uplifting presentations and Eucharistic street procession in the evening. The culmination of the festival is an outdoor celebration in Leicester Square with live music on stage, workshops, prayer and reconciliation services on Saturday 14th June.
