Two New Episcopal Vicars in the Diocese

Following the appointment of Bishop Alan Hopes to the See of East Anglia, Archbishop Vincent Nichols is happy to announce the appointment of two new Episcopal Vicars within the diocese.

  • Monsignor Jim Curry has been appointed Episcopal Vicar with particular pastoral responsibility for the deaneries of: Hammersmith and Fulham; Kensington and Chelsea; and North Kensington. He will also attend meetings of the West London Church Leaders.
  • Father Christopher Vipers has been appointed Episcopal Vicar with particular pastoral responsibility for the deaneries of: Ealing; Hillingdon; Hounslow and Upper Thames. He will also have responsibility for Young Adults of the West.
  • Both Monsignor Curry and Father Vipers celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation in the parishes of those deaneries for which they have particular pastoral responsibility.
  • Bishops John Arnold, John Sherrington and Nicholas Hudson and will continue to have particular pastoral responsibilities for the same deaneries as previously.
