It is with sad news we announce the death of Fr James (Jim) Kennedy. Fr Jim died on Saturday morning 16 August 2025 in Paphos, Cyprus.
Fr Jim’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 23 August 2025 at 10.30am (Cyprus time) in the church of Agia Kyriaki, Paphos. Bishop Bruno Varriano OFM, Auxiliary Bishop of Jerusalem and Patriarchal Vicar of Cyprus will preside.
The Parish Priest of St Paul’s Catholic Parish, Paphos, where Fr Jim was Associate Priest, writes, ‘On behalf of our little parish where Father Jim taught us by his life to love Christ and his Church thank you very much for your prayers’.
Lord, we pray for the soul of your priest Fr Jim who faithfully served your Church.
We remember his dedication to administering the sacraments, teaching your word, and guiding your people.We ask that you grant him eternal rest and welcome him into your heavenly Kingdom. Amen.
