St Gregoryโs Catholic Science College has been successful in securing the EQualities Award for the second time.
This prestigious national award enables schools and childrenโs centres to showcase their efforts and achievements in promoting all strands of equality as well as demonstrating their compliance with the specific duties of the Equality Act.
The process involved collecting and presenting evidence for verification against more than 50 indicators of good practice. The awardโs director, Dr Chris Derrington said, โThank you and your colleagues so very much for your sustained and encouraging commitment to equality. It has been a pleasure to work with you and St Gregory's sounds like a wonderfully inclusive school.โ
Headteacher, Andrew Prindiville, commented โThe staff and governors at St Gregoryโs have worked incredibly hard to attain this award. The fact that St Gregoryโs has achieved this award for the second time demonstrates the schoolโs continued commitment to promoting diversity and to identifying and challenging inequality in all its forms.โ
