Ralph Hodgson/TearfundWe are excited to announce that John Coleby, Director of Caritas Westminster, will be speaking at Engaging with Poverty in the Early Church and Today at St Mary's University, Twickenham. This interdisciplinary and international conference will take place on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 December 2015, with the of aim of advancing reflection and action on poverty worldwide.

Poverty and its alleviation and elimination continues to be high on the agenda of governments, churches, and social action projects across the world. This conference will give you the opportunity to engage with expert speakers from across the church, who will explore the mutual relationship between early Christianity and today's world and how this relationship shapes modern strategies for alleviating poverty.

All are welcome to attend this exciting and challenging event. Part of your registration fee will contribute to the work of Riverbank Trust, a local charity which works with vulnerable single mothers and their families in Richmond.

Location: Waldegrave Drawing Room, St Mary’s University, Twickenham
Registration:  £75 (£50 for students, people on benefits, senior citizens)
