Archbishop Vincent Nichols was present at a Royal Gala Dinner hosted by the Constantinian Order on evening of Saturday 28 July 2012 to mark the beginning of the 2012 Olympic Games. Here the Archbishop witnessed nine statesmen from across the world become members of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George and the Royal Order of Francis I. Westminster pilgrims gather for the opening procession

Well, the pilgrimage has finally begun and what a difference from twelve months ago. Instead of the grey skies, umbrellas and rain capes of last year the sun definitely has his hat on today as you can see from the photographs. After a solemn but joyful procession in the bright, warm sunshine we were able to celebrate our opening liturgy in the beautiful Rosary Basilica.Read more
