Human trafficking is a ‘crime against humanity’, and it is happening right here in the UK. Caritas Bakhita House offers emergency support for victims of human trafficking, providing them with the safety and support they need to begin the process of recovery and rehabilitation.

Caritas Bakhita House was opened in June 2015. Since then it has been a home to more than 195 guests from almost 50 different countries, plus 16 newborn babies, who have stayed anything from a few weeks to a year or even longer. We have also helped secure prison sentences totalling nearly 150 years for those who traffic and exploit women.

One woman who was ready to leave and become independent said, "You have walked with me all along. I have learnt so much. You taught me that there is light at the end of the tunnel".

Our House is a special place of safety and healing.
