Lourdes Diocesan Pilgrimage: 20th to 26th July 2019
Book early on the 2019 Westminster Diocese Lourdes Pilgrimage to avoid disappointment. There is a new 'Accommodation-Only' option on the booking forms.
Are you a school group wanting to travel to Lourdes this summer? Several schools have been successfully fundraising to support their Red Caps, teachers and volunteers who help in Lourdes. Training is always available.
Please consider ways in which you can fundraise to help send a sick or elderly pilgrim, a Medical Team volunteer, helper or a youth volunteer from your Parish to Lourdes with the Diocese.
Donations to the Diocesan Lourdes pilgrimage can also be made to the Virgin Money Giving page, just click here
Lourdes Pilgrimage wheelchairs wanted!
During last year's pilgrimage there were only just enough wheelchairs to cope with the needs of assisted pilgrims. It is anticipated that this year's pilgrimage will be larger in numbers and hiring extra chairs is a costly and complex option.
If you or your fellow parishioners have a wheelchair that is no longer needed, or know of someone, a care centre or an organisation with an unused surplus of wheelchairs, this would be welcome. Just contact the Pilgrimage Office on 0207 798 9173 or email email@example.com and collection can be arranged.
Have you talked to your Parish or School about Lourdes?
Have the fundraising efforts of your Parish or School helped get you or a loved one to Lourdes with the Diocese? Have you given your support to a fundraising event to help youth volunteers serve as Red Caps in Lourdes? If you would like materials and presentations to give a talk in your Parish or school, or would like a guest speaker to come to you, get in touch with Elizabeth in the Pilgrimage Office on 0207 798 9173 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Shrine at Walsingham
Saturday 21st September 2019
Pilgrims from Parishes across the Diocese are invited to join Cardinal Vincent and his and Auxiliary Bishops for this year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham, on Saturday 21st September 2019.
The theme of the pilgrimage, "Blessed are the poor, for the Kingdom of God is theirs” echoes the words of his Holiness Pope Francis in his Message for the XXVII World Day of the Sick 2019. This one-day pilgrimage will take place close to the Feast day of Our Lady of Walsingham.
From 2018 to 2020, the statue of Our Lady from the Slipper Chapel at the Catholic National Shrine in Walsingham is touring each Catholic Cathedral in England as part of the preparation for the rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary in 2020. St George's Cathedral in Southwark will host the statue from Thursday evening (5pm) to lunch time on Saturday 23rd February 2019.
