Independent travellers, i.e. those who are not travelling with Tangney Tours but intend to join the Westminster Diocesan Pilgrimage in Lourdes, need to complete a Westminster Diocese Lourdes Pilgrimage Medical Form, available from the Pilgrimage Office, and must arrange to make a suggested payment of £30 levy per person cost towards running costs of the Diocesan Pilgrimage in the Shrine at Lourdes and the essential support and care of sick pilgrims in the St Frai.
It is vital that in the event of a medical emergency, even if a pilgrim requires the most basic medical care, that details are shared with the Chief Pilgrimage Doctor Sian Davies. These records are and kept securely for the remainder of the year to which the Pilgrimage applies.
Medical Forms are available from the Pilgrimage Office at Vaughan House.

The wonderful performance of 'Peter's Way of the Cross', an original collaborative composition by Giovanni Marseglia and Bernard Lavery, took place after an evening Reception in the Great Hall of the iconic Old Bailey, London EC4M 7EH on Wednesday 30th May 2018. Proceeds from ticket sales will assist the sick and disabled pilgrims on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes this summer. Many thanks to Sandra McGregor, those who helped to organise the night and to all who attended. Sincere appreciation goes to His Honour Judge Nicholas Hilliard QC The Recorder of London at the Old Bailey, members of the Catholic Association for the Performing Arts and the Lourdes Volunteers' choir.
Lourdes Fundraising 2018
On 13th April 2018, Bob and his grandson William completed a mammoth walkathon from their Parish Church of St John Fisher, Shepperton, following the River Thames downstream to Westminster Cathedral.
Having been a Lourdes pilgrim since birth, William, now aged 15, succeeded alongside his dear Granddad in far exceeding the pair's target to send a sick person to Lourdes.
Their welcome party included family and friends, and Fr Michael Quaicoe who gave them a blessing on their return. If you would like to add to the generous donations received so far for this very worthy cause, go to https://www.gofundme.com/bob-amp-william-walk-to-westminster
Remember: Gift Aid makes your donations go further, so do please sign-up if you are a UK Taxpayer. Donations to the Diocesan Lourdes pilgrimage can also be made to the Virgin Money Giving page, just click here
