On 11 December, young people across the diocese gathered at Somers Town for Mass to mark the beginning of the Jubilee of Mercy. Bishop Nicholas was the principal celebrant and music was led by Edwin Fawcett and his Music Ministry scholars.

At the end of the Mass, the Music Ministry scholars were presented with certificates by Bishop Nicholas in recognition of their excellent work and contribution. The celebrations continued after Mass with food and social time in the hall.
