Diocesan Pilgrimages to the Holy Land

Dear Pilgrims,

Given the ongoing situation in Israel, pilgrimage to the Holy Land is presently impossible and resumption of the Diocesan Pilgrimage rests with the Diocesan Trustee.  They are monitoring the situation and reviewing Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) guidelines.

Bishop Nicholas Hudson and Bishop Jim Curry, along with twelve other bishops from around the world, travelled to Jerusalem in a stand of solidarity with Christians in the Holy Land from 18-23 January 2025 for the Holy Land Coordination.

There are official channels for providing optional support by practical means to vulnerable Christian communities in the Holy Land. Organisations such as Friends of the Holy Land coordinate this support.

Our continued thoughts and prayers are for peace in the region, and for all who suffer as a result of the conflict.
