Young Catholics and supporters of Youth 2000 gathered at St Patrick’s Church in Soho Square on Sunday 14 June to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Youth 2000. Cardinal Vincent celebrated the Mass and was joined by priests that support the work of Youth 2000. In his homily, Cardinal Vincent said, ‘like the seed planted in good soil, Youth 2000 flourishes and bears rich fruit for the Lord.’
Youth 2000 has been active within the UK since 1990 and carries out its mission to bring young people into a personal relationship with Christ through weekend ‘prayer festivals’ where young people have an opportunity to attend Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Confession and discussion of Scripture.
