On the Feast of St Peter and St Paul, 29th June 2023, Bishop John Sherrington visited Our Lady of Grace Infant School in Dollis Hill to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the school.
Pupils presented a short play about the life of St Peter which engaged the younger children. They were enthusiastic in their responses to prayers and the joyful singing of hymns. The energy of infants enjoying themselves was certainly palpable.
After the assembly, Bishop John met the Mini Vinnies who spoke about the good deeds they did and their love of serving others. They were delighted to be commissioned by Bishop John.
He also blessed the new Happy Garden which celebrates creation and is a place of repose. It is also a place where class groups can meet for prayer and RE. It provides a welcome and green space and a contrast to the buildings around the school, offering the children with an opportunity to enjoy an open space which they may not have at home.
It was an enjoyable and day full of blessings.
