The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the rite through which adults are received into the Catholic Church. This web page will allow you to access resources that will be helpful in your understanding of RCIA, both catechetically and liturgically. It provides guidance for catechists and sponsors, the RCIA Preparation Pack, various journal articles on the RCIA as well as links to other useful websites.

The Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion (All Deaneries to attend on one day)
Date: Saturday 21 February 2026
Time: 2:30pm
Location: Westminster Cathedral.

The Gathering and Mass for New Catholics:
Date: Saturday 20 June 2026
Time: 4pm Gathering with Mass at 6pm
Location: Vaughan House and Westminster Cathedral.
The Mass for New Catholics will be preceded by refreshments and a presentation on "Stepping out as a Catholic" which will take place in Vaughan House, 46 Francis Street, London SW1P 1QN from 4pm to 5.45pm. All those baptised, confirmed and/or received into the Catholic Church at Easter 2026 are invited to attend, as are their godparents, sponsors, relatives, clergy, catechists, parishioners and friends.
