Further to moving into the school building three years after the fire in September 2015, then recently receiving the award of Best Catholic State Primary School in England, St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary school in Willesden has now unveiled a stained glass window fully funded by the parents of the school. The parents have been raising funds for three years through cake sales, summer fairs, and children’s ‘own clothes’ days.
The window provides a new focus in the restored school building and will be a legacy to future generations. The image depicts the presentation of Baby Jesus at the Temple, an important event in the culture of the time, and an important focus for Christians today as they reflect on the Holy Family.
All parents, children, staff and visitors are in awe of this beautiful feature.
