Mediterranean migrants, photo by CAFODFollowing David Cameron's announcement that the UK will accept 20,000 Syrian refugees over the next five years, at Caritas Westminster we are developing plans to provide refugees arriving in London with accommodation and services.

We are co-ordinating the reponse to Cardinal Vincent and Archbishop Peter Smith call to Catholic communities to offer long-term support to refugees, ensuring that people who arrive in London are met with a warm welcome.

We need your help!

We are developing a strategy that will see Caritas Westminster working with parishes and other Catholic organisations to provide support and services to refugees. To do this, we need the help of parish communities - click here for more information. If you would like to support our work, then please donate here.

If you or your parish would like to raise funds or send aid to migrants abroad, please see the CAFOD website to see how you can get involved. The site also contains information on the Catholic Church's response to the crisis.

The charity Seeking Sanctuary are currently co-ordinating collections for migrants in Calais. Please get in touch via their website if you would like to make a contribution, or you can send donations to CSAN.
