St Joseph's Flower ShowLast week students from Caritas St Joseph's had the opportunity to take part in their very own Flower Festival. They created a beautiful display to adorn the statue of St Joseph at St Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church in Golders Green, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

The Floral Enterprise Scheme operates on a Thursday afternoon atCaritas St Joseph's Activities Centre, in Hendon, North London. Students create flower arrangements and other displays with Linda Martin, a florist from Hertfordshire. The flowers are then sold to raise funds for Caritas St Joseph's.

'It is a wonderful opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities to work in a group, have fun, work hard and produce items for sale to raise funds to further the work of our charity,' Auriel Bell from the St Joseph's team said.

Caritas St Joseph's is a lifelong learning centre for adults with intellectual disabilities. Students are given the opportunity to develop life skills and take part in vocational or leisure courses. St Joseph's also runs an outreach service which supports the spiritual and social lives families in the parishes.
