In a fitting start to the New Year, two parishes chose to celebrate the opening of their Holy Door on New Year's Day, the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God.
At Our Lady Queen of Apostles, Welwyn Garden City, Bishop John opened their Holy Door which was followed by the celebration of Mass.
At St William of York in Stanmore, Canon Michael Munnelly was joined by Canon Colin Davies and a large crowd of parishioners for the opening of their Holy Door and Mass.
