The first Caritas funded foodbank in Borehamwood is now open thanks to funds raised through Growing in Faith.
40 volunteers have received trained from the Trussell Trust are now helping to manage and distribute food items.
Realising the important need of a foodbank in this specific area has surprised a lot of people and it is why several other churches and organisations such as the Citizen Advice Bureau, Rotary Club and local businesses are also involved in the initiative. Everyone is touched by the increasing numbers of volunteers who are ready and willing to help.
