We are looking for volunteers for a new Contact the Elderly group which we are supporting in the parish of Mary Immaculate & St Gregory the Great, Barnet.
Contact the Elderly organises monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for people aged 75 and over who live on their own without family or friends nearby.
We need drivers who can use their own car to collect one or two local older people and accompany them to tea parties one Sunday afternoon a month. We also need volunteer hosts to hold a tea party once or twice a year in their own home.
The tea parties make a huge difference to the lives of isolated older people and are filled with tea, chat and laughter.
