Borehamwood Foodbank is looking for volunteers for a range of roles. Share your gifts and talents and get involved with this exciting community project.
Trustees x3
Roles: Warehouse Oversight, Fundraising, Distribution Team Oversight
Volunteer attributes:
Two of trustees must be from the Elstree & Borehamwood Christian Council church community. The third trustee can be any local person.
Trustees must take a hands-on approach to their role.
Commitment:
Mondays 11am-3pm or Thursdays 10am-1pm
Evening meetings every six weeks.
Supermarket Collections Coordinator x1
Role: To liaise with Tesco about collections, usually 4 times a year. Also on occasions other supermarkets.
Meeting and Greeting Volunteer x2
Role: To meet and help those arriving with food vouchers.
Signposter x1
Role: To build up knowledge of national and local resources, share this information with clients in person and using a computer.
