St Edmund's Primary School gets new Library Bus

On Friday 9 October, St Edmund's Catholic Primary School in Whitton, officially opened and blessed a new school Library Bus, which has been funded by the school Parent's Association.  The whole school gathered in the afternoon, to open the new library bus and were joined by Jacqueline Harvey, a best-selling Australian author and Deputy Mayor of Richmond Upon Thames, Councillor Jean Loveland.

Father Nigel Griffin, Parish Priest of St Edmund of Canterbury blessed the new bus.  The whole school then joined together to sing a few verses of 'The Wheels on the Bus' and the guests enjoyed a tour of the new library by some of the school children.  It was a fantastic afternoon and the children absolutely love using the new library.  Parents of the school have donated some wonderful books and we are currently investing in lots of new books to help stock it.
