On Sunday 12th June, St John Fisher Parish in North Harrow were delighted to welcome the recently-appointed Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Janet Mote, together with her Mayoress, Mrs Anne Moore, to Mass and a parish get together afterwards.
The Mayor has strong links with the parish being an associate governor of St John Fisher Catholic Primary School as well as a North Harrow ward councillor.
The Mayor expressed her gratitude at being formally invited to the celebration of Mass where five children made their First Holy Communion.
Later, in the parish centre she spoke of her joy at seeing people come together to celebrate after the struggle of living through the pandemic as well as the outward expression of love and respect that she sees so regularly at faith community celebrations which she attends.
