Magic Breakfast Tea PartyLast week we hosted an end of term tea party at Caritas Westminster to celebrate all the hard work local primary school staff have put in to make our breakfast clubs so successful.

Together with Magic Breakfast, we have been supporting breakfast clubs in five primary schools in the Diocese of Westminster since 2012. Magic Breakfast was set up to address the growing problem of children arriving at school too hungry to learn. To protect the health of those children and to make sure they get the best out of their education, Magic Breakfast aims to provide free and healthy breakfasts in schools where over 35% of pupils are on free school meals. By working together, we have ensured that 223 primary school children are receiving a heathyMagic Breakfast Tea Partybreakfast each day.

The breakfast clubs would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the staff at each primary school we work with. The tea party was an opportunity for Caritas Westminster and Magic Breakfast to say a personal thank you to all the staff and volunteers, and we hope they enjoyed the tea and cake as much as we did!

We hope that all the school staff in the Diocese of Westminster have had a good year, and we wish you all a relaxing summer holiday!
