We are pleased to announce that Fr Sławomir Witoń has been appointed to the role of Administrator of Westminster Cathedral. Fr Witoń has served as Parish Priest at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George, Enfield since 2011, where he also held the post of Dean of Enfield from 2012 to 2018. Fr Witoń previously served as Chaplain at Westminster Cathedral in 2005, and as Sub-Administrator from 2008 to 2011.

His Eminence Cardinal Vincent Nichols has expressed his gratitude to Fr Witoń for generously accepting this new appointment.

Fr Witoń said: ‘I am delighted to accept the appointment as Administrator of Westminster Cathedral, a task that is challenging at any time but even more so in the current climate. I had the privilege to minister in the Cathedral under two amazing Administrators: Mgr Mark Langham and the late Canon Christopher Tuckwell. I hope to be guided by their wisdom and experience.  I am looking forward to working together with Cardinal Vincent, the College of Chaplains, the Cathedral staff and volunteers, the Music Department, the Choir School and the Cathedral Choir. I put myself and my ministry in the Cathedral under the protective mantle of Our Lady of Walsingham, whose feast we celebrate today.’

Fr Witoń will take up his new appointment on 1st November 2020.
