On 26 January Caritas Westminster held an evening for people who want to give their time to organisations that help refugees. The evening was extremely well attended by organisations, among the stalls were the Watford + Three Rivers Refugee Partnership, the Jewish Volunteers Network as well as more local groups such as Neighbours in Poplar and the Westminster Welcome boxes.
Caritas invited everyone to visit the stalls and discuss different ways of volunteering before talks by Cliff Cohen of Migrant Support , Sister Christine from Neighbours in Poplar, Louise Zanre from the Jesuit Refugee Service and Michael Costello from the Guardian Angels Trip to Calais. This was followed by questions and discussion. Many people attended the evening, and many charities commented on the overwhelming amount of offers of help they had received.
