We would like to draw to your attention this new partnership, which was launched to a gathering of the Bishops of England and Wales and their Diocesan Marriage and Family Life Coordinators and members of the organisations themselves at the recent World Meeting of Families in Dublin.

This alliance between Marriage Care, Marriage and Engaged Encounter, Teams (Equipes Notre Dame) and Two In One Flesh is the recognition of the need for a more integrated approach between different providers to promote marriage and support married couples. Each of these organisations, in their different ways, have had a long involvement in the life of the diocese.

In speaking about this initiative Mark Molden, the CEO of Marriage Care, outlined that this new approach has grown out of a growing desire to be more united in the services being provided by each group to the Church. In particular, the need for a more joined-up approach to supporting couples at different points of their journey. This ranges from the promotion of marriage preparation; finding new and innovative strategies and ways to encourage couples to access marriage enrichment; growing in faith through the mutual support of other couples; and to help with the healing of relationships at any early stage.

A short introductory video, filmed by one of the attendees at the reception can be viewed here and further details are on the Alliance website.
