A Winter Assembly of the Society of St Gregory

1015am     Fr Francesco Donega, the director of the Redemptoris Mater house of formation belonging to the Neo-Catechumenal Way. He will speak about the liturgical practice of this New Movement, and of the way their catechesis relates to the Church’s norms of adult initiation (RCIA).

1115am     Music practice for Mass and Evening Prayer

12noon      Celebration of Mass at which Bishop Alan Hopes, Chair of the Bishops’ Conference Liturgy Committee will preside

1pm             Lunch

2pm             Bishop Kieran Conry, Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, will deliver the Crichton Memorial Lecture: The Year of Faith and the Challenge of the New Evangelisation, in the light of Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy. Bishop Conry is the Chair of the Bishops’ Conference Department of Evangelisation and Catechesis, and in his lecture he will reflect on the experience of the Year of Faith in his own diocese.

3pm             AGM of the Society of Saint Gregory (The AGM is free to all members of the SSG whether or not they attend the rest of the Assembly. Non-members are welcome to attend also but may not vote.)

4pm             Evening Prayer
