The Tour of the Jubilee Icon
The Icon
To celebrate the Jubilee Year 2025, Pilgrims into Hope, CAFOD commissioned an icon from artist Mulugeta Araya in Ethiopia, for the Catholic Church in England and Wales.

This Jubilee Icon will be touring England throughout 2025 and will visit the Diocese of Westminster in December.
Whilst it is in the Diocese, the Icon will be taken to a number of ‘Places of Hope’ (schools, parishes, chaplaincies) so that it may be seen by as many people as possible.
Resources to aid prayer and reflection
To help individuals, groups and parishes to pray and reflect with the Jubilee Icon, a Prayer and Reflection resources booklet has been created by the Diocesan Jubilee Committee. Some of the resources within this booklet can be downloaded individually:

6.30pm Mass, followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, St Margaret of Scotland, Twickenham, TW1 1RL.
Wednesday 10 December:
10.00am Mass, St Margaret of Scotland, Twickenham, TW1 1RL.
Thursday 11 December:
9.15am Mass, Our Lady of the Rosary, Staines-upon-Thames, TW18 2BD.
Friday 12 December:
12 noon Catholic Mass in the Lady Chapel in St Alban’s Cathedral, AL1 1BY.
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December:
6.00pm Mass, St Joseph and the English Martyrs, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2ND.

Monday 22 December:
12.30pm, The Icon will be formally received at Mass in Westminster Cathedral, SW1P 1LT;
The Icon will remain in the Cathedral until the evening of Friday 26 December.
On Saturday 27 December the Icon will travel to Nottingham Diocese for the closing of the Jubilee Year.
