"Reawakening Blessed Hope"
Jubilee Days for Catechists 2025
The Agency for Evangelisation invites the catechists of the diocese to a Jubilee Catechists’ day in each pastoral area of the Diocese on the theme of "Reawakening Blessed Hope".
Our Jubilee Day for Catechists from West London and Spelthorne took place with Cardinal Vincent in July 2025 at St Gregory the Great, South Ruislip (see here for more information).
Our Day for Catechists from North London took place on Saturday 11th October with Canon Shaun Lennard (Episcopal Vicar for North London) at the Shrine of Our Lady of Willesden, NW10 9AX .
The remaining two Jubilee Days (in Central and East London, and Hertfordshire) are as follows:
Saturday 18th October:
A day for catechists from parishes in Central and East London with Bishop Nicholas Hudson at St Mary and St Joseph, Poplar, E14 6EZ. For location details please click here.
- To book your place for Saturday 18th October, please give your name and email address to your parish administrator by Tuesday 30th September 2025.
- Key timings for the Day are as follows:
- The Day will begin at 10am with refreshments in the Church Hall;
- We will eat lunch together and so please bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and coffee will be provided.
- The Day will end at 4pm.
Please note there is no parking at the church, but you may be able to park in the surrounding streets. Where possible, we advise you to travel on foot or by public transport. The church is well served by buses (D6, 15 and 115 all pass close by) and the nearest DLR stations (All Saints, Poplar and Westferry) are each about half a mile from the church. Alternatively, you can walk to the church from Canary Wharf (served by the Elizabeth and Jubilee Lines) which is about a mile away.
Saturday 15th November:
A day for catechists from parishes in Hertfordshire with Bishop Paul McAleenan at Our Lady Queen of Apostles, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 3TP. For location details please click here.
- To book your place for Saturday 15th November, please give your name and email address to your parish administrator by Friday 31st October 2025.
Further details of each Jubilee Catechists' Day:
- Each day will begin at 10am and finish at 4pm.
- There is no charge to attend any of the days.
- There is limited parking at these venues and so we encourage you to use public transport where possible.
- Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch with you on the day.
- If you cannot attend the day in your area, please consider attending one of the other days in the diocese instead.

Please give your name and email address to your parish administrator by the date specified, for them to collate and send to us.
- We will then contact each participant directly by email with further information.
