Reconciliation: Wasted Sacrament or Valued Gift? - Bishop John Arnold

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is probably misunderstood by many people who, therefore, distance themselves from it. Still often called “Confession”, it has difficult and negative connotations. Confessions are made under duress. The person who confesses is to be  punished. The Sacrament of Reconciliation, however, offers us one of the best possibilities for growth in self knowledge and wisdom. It is an invitation and a gift.
