The life of faith is not static but a dynamic search involving all our humanity to enter more and more into the joy of belonging to Christ. Pope Francis writes that " Faith does not merely gaze at Jesus, but sees things as Jesus himself sees them". This constant conversion into Christ involves charity above all, and hope and courage. But it is not so much a matter of our love for God but receptivity to God's love for us and the creativity this brings.

Fr. John Hemer is a Mill Hill Missionary originally from Liverpool. He lectures in Sacred Scripture at Allen Hall, The Westminster Diocesan Seminary in London, at Heythrop College and at Oscott College, the Birmingham Seminary. He holds a licentiate from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He has worked as a missionary in Pakistan Uganda and Kenya and now gives lectures and retreats throughout Britain and in many other countries.
5th June 2014, Lumen Fidei – Some Implications for Christian Living by Rev Dr Micahel O’Boy, Vice-Rector, Allen Hall
In this final talk Fr Michael O’Boy will draw out some of the practical implications of what Pope Francis’ says in Lumen Fidei, asking how it might inform the living out of our faith on a day to day basis.
Following his doctoral studies on Elizabethan Catholicism, Michael O’Boy trained for the priesthood at Allen Hall, Westminster’s diocesan seminary. Ordained priest in 2000 he has had parish appointments in Kentish Town, Westminster Cathedral and Somers Town. As Director of the Diocese’s Agency for Evangelisation between 2006-2012 he worked in support of parish catechetics, small faith sharing communites and adult faith formation. From 2007-2013 he played a key role in the oversight and then restructuring of Westminster’s Youth Ministry. He is currently Vice-Rector and Dean of Studiess at Allen Hall.
