Westminster Cathedral, the seat of the Diocese and home parish of the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, is different from the usual parish of which one might think. It showcases a rich history of the Catholic Church in England, right in the centre of London.
It received tens of thousands of tourists and visitors annually, who participate in liturgies and activities and move on, not necessarily being regular contributors. It conducts programmes and special events unique to the Diocese and its role in society. The architecture and artwork are stunning, intricate and priceless today. Maintaining all this, and being a living, open face of the Church to all costs money. Even though it has loyal parishioners who call it their parish, and may friends here and across the world, Westminster Cathedral has extremely challenging costs, and a smaller proportion of supporting parishioners than a local parish would. Show your appreciation of this magnificent church by helping to cover its operating costs, keeping it in good repair and vibrant in its welcome to all. Please give generously.
