Our Diocese

Development Manager (Supporter Engagement)

Would you like to develop your fundraising career in the Supporter Engagement team of a charity helping those most in need around the capital? Build your skills in a varied role, and be at the centre of implementing our new fundraising strategy.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our busy Fundraising department as a Development Manager. Based in our offices in the heart of Victoria, the role of the department is to support and enable thousands of volunteers who fundraise every week in parishes, as well as growing income for numerous programmes and projects centrally.

The Catholic Diocese of Westminster is led by Cardinal Vincent Nichols and is home to Westminster Cathedral, 214 parishes and 215 schools, serving people in 17 Local Authorities in London north of the Thames, as well as Hertfordshire and part of Surrey. We spend our £55m income on a huge range of activities, from parishes and schools, to hundreds of projects helping those most in need in society, including a refuge for female survivors of human trafficking and a social enterprise hub that enables marginalised people to start their own business.

In this important role, which would suit someone with major donor experience, you will primarily be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the major donor, trusts & foundations and corporate partnerships strategy to grow both restricted and unrestricted income from existing and new major funders

Applications are welcome from people of any background. You do not have to be Catholic but an understanding of the Church would be an advantage. This role will suit a confident, creative individual with solid leadership communication, organisational and co-ordination skills.
