Archbishop Vincent Nichols will mark the start of the Year of Faith with a series of special events for young people and young adults in the Diocese of Westminster.
The new programme, called ‘You Believe’, will be a monthly celebration of faith, catechesis, praise and worship. Hosted and led by SPEC and Westminster Youth Ministry, You Believe is an invitation to all young adults from around the diocese to renew their faith and deepen their knowledge of what we believe.
The opening session will be celebrated at St Aloysius Church, near Euston station, on Tuesday 6 November at 7pm. It will be led by Archbishop Nichols who will give a catechesis on faith and belief in the world today.
The event also marks the beginning of the work of the new Centre for Youth Ministry in the diocese. The new centre is connected with St Aloysius Church and will become the new base for Diocesan Youth Chaplain, Fr David Reilly, the Director of Youth Ministry, Phil Ross, and the members of the Youth Support Team, as well as a resource for youth leaders and catechists.
The event is open to all youngsters of sixth form age and over, and young adults. Copies of the new young peoples’ catechism, Youcat, will also be available. Do come and join us for the beginning of this important time as we prepare to equip ourselves for the Year of Faith and the New Evangelisation.
