A new residential building is nearing completion which will allow SPEC to again deliver residential retreats. As a consequence, we have a need for a Chef to be responsible for all catering requirements for residents, staff and guests.
Duties will include planning and producing a weekly menu, maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget and being accountable for food safety and all aspects of health & safety within the kitchen. The post-holder will ensure the provision of a high standard of food quality, preparing, cooking and presenting food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy and safe environment, whilst taking into account the age-range and any special or dietary requirements of our users.
The successful candidate will have some knowledge and experience of working in a similar role, be a team player, self-motivated and be able to manage a busy workload.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week (flexible working pattern will be required to meet the needs of our users and may include split shifts)
Salary: £21,000 per annum
