Archbishop Celebrates Christian Unity with ecumenical gathering in the North of England

Archbishop Vincent Nichols was present at an ecumenical celebration of Christian Unity that took place at Batley Central Methodist Church on Sunday 14 October 2012.

During the service, marking 25 years of the West Yorkshire Ecumenical Council, Archbishop Nichols said that all Christians need to be united in our one true purpose of glorifying God.

    This was a marvellous celebration of the essential unity we share in Christ. Thanks go to the Archbishop for his visible commitment to Christian unity, and for encouraging Christians to build up their relationships together across the boundaries of tradition. His address is well worth listening to again.
