    Spirit in the City
    Venue:Leicester Square, London WC2H, UK

From the 9th -10th June 2017, the Catholic faith communities across the diocese will join forces to offer a Catholic festival dedicated to evangelisation in our capital city: with times of prayer, teaching, celebration and outreach. The festival aims to bring Catholics together and to reach out to the general public at the same time. It gathers people of all cultures through a joyful and dynamic Catholic celebration of faith in the heart of London.
Most people who go to Spirit in the City have been struck by: joyful atmosphere - quality of music – fellowship - space to think - pray and be inspired – workshops – talks – activities - testimonies to lift up and invite you to meet God.
This year we are excited to be joined by the RISE Theatre Company who will be performing 'Romero – Heartbeat of El Salvador' a powerful original production, looking at the life and legacy of a man who chose to challenge those in power and stand up for social justice. And as always at Spirit in the City we will have a fantastic line up of music, this year we welcome back Noel Robinson, MC Tempo and Soul Sanctuary among others.
Cardinal Vincent Nichols said: "I want to express my support and admiration for Spirit in the City Festival, this important evangelisation event in London’s West End. I invite you all to be part of the event, and to help bring the joy of the Gospel to the West End of London."
